A journalism + World Cup summer
It's the best combo
Hello! Sheeva here. I hope you have been having a great summer. Since I work in education now, the magic of summertime is not lost on me.
It’s been an uneventful, but busy, summer.
Lots of work balanced out by watching the World Cup is my current jam. Oh, and if you like the World Cup, like me, you might like this playlist I’ve been listening to on repeat! “Dai Dai” by Shakira and Burna Boy is my favorite!
What we’ve been up to
Earlier this summer, I published a YouTube video about our small business personal finance that explains how I paid off my interest-bearing credit card debt after plopping down nearly 17k to pay for interning in Congress (once for 2.5 months, and once for a literal day). Whew!
I also continued my investigation of the Epstein files, first by interviewing a man named Tom McIver who got sued by Al Seckel, an Epstein friend who lied about his own life and tried to cover up Epstein’s digital footprint post-jailtime and replace it with happy, feel-good PR.
I’m not sure what to do with all the blogs and reels I have researched and created about science in the Epstein files. Where does one go from here with all this knowledge that few seem to be taking seriously in the sciences?
I posted, last month, about how a bunch of scientists visited the Epstein ranch, and honestly, I can’t stop thinking about it. What’s a girl to do?
I also talked on our blog about how the Science in the Epstein files took shape as Instagram Reels and how people’s DMs made them possible!
Let’s keep it short and sweet for this newsletter so we can all go back to our fun summer activities. Until next time! :-)
